The Hotel

 

The 19th annual UBCMUN conference will take place at The Hyatt Regency Vancouver, located in the heart of downtown. A four star hotel, the Hyatt has an impressive list of amenities including an outdoor heated pool, health club deluxe in room bath and flat screen TV.

 

The Hyatt has the largest guestrooms, most impressive meeting and event facilities in Vancouver, and also uses 100% green electricity from wind power for all of their meeting rooms.

 

Within the hotel there is one restaurant, a lounge as well as a Starbucks. If this isn’t what you’re looking for, then within a five-minute walk you can find the exciting restaurants of Granville Street and an Urban Fare grocery store.

 

If you find yourself with time to explore, the Hyatt is close to Stanley Park, the Vancouver Art Gallery, Robson Street and Pacific Centre Shopping Mall. A little farther are Granville Island, Science World and Rogers Arena, where the Vancouver Canucks play.

 

The room cost for the conference (if booked before December 12, 2011) is $119/night based on two double beds. Rates are based on occupancy, not room size. As occupancy increases, the rate for the room does as well, but it costs less per person.

 

For example:


Single/Double: $119.00/night ($60/person for 2 people)
Triple: $154.00/night ($52/person for 3 people)
Quad: $189.00/night ($48/person for 4 people)


These rates mean that you would have to share a bed for triple or quad occupancy, so please do keep that in mind!
